YogaButtons Featured on The Kid Scoop

Kids Yoga at YogaButtons Studio!

Kid’s are naturals when it comes to yoga moves: Downward dog is a part of everyday play and babies make child’s pose look so good. So, it’s no stretch that Vancouver has opened up a new kids yoga studio.

YogaButtons-classKitsilano is a hot spot for yoga and Yoga Buttons Studio is the perfect addition to the neighbourhood. Our young yogis can stretch their way through kids yoga classes that encourage self-esteem, body awareness and cooperation. Yoga for kids is a great way for little ones to break from competitive activities and just relax.

We think our toddlers will love WeeButtons. Tots learn traditional poses through play, stories and drama (pigeon and cow pose have never been so fun.) KiddoButtons is meant for the older set where they can take this time to slow down and practice balance, strength and concentration through playful yoga moves ($10/class.)

Babies as young as four months old can strike a pose too, while moms-to-be can enjoy BellyButtons to foster a connection with baby and prep our bodies for the big day ($12 per class.) Then again, why not make it a family activity? FamilyButtons is a multigenerational way to get our posse posing. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday, especially since class is by donation to support local kids charities.

YogaButtons is a welcoming space and we’re sure our kids will get into the yoga flow. Stress free and stretched out; we couldn’t ask for anything else.
