Christine Stoddard - Yoga Teacher

Christine

Christine teaches classic yoga flow, restorative movement, meditation, and breathwork to adults of all levels and abilities, including seniors, new parents, and those recovering from illness or injury.

I am passionate about movement of and for all kinds!

I began my yoga journey in the late 1990s as a compliment to my work as a physical theatre, dance, and performance artist. I was drawn to the playfulness, curiosity, and freedom yoga can teach us. In later years, I leaned heavily on my yoga practice as a tool for stress management during a couple of busy career-focused decades in academia and the non-profit sector, where movement and mindfulness allowed me to connect with the inner joy and ease that is the birthright of every human body.

I love teaching yoga to all levels and all ages – from new moms to seniors, from busy parents to creative teens, from those looking to build strength & stability to those seeking a deeper connection to their inner spirit. I trained in classical Hatha and Ashtanga, pre- and post-natal, restorative yoga, tensegrity, yoga nidra, and other modalities. My primary form is Vijnana yoga* and I sometimes throw in a bit of mime or modern dance to keep us moving in novel ways.

This sense of deep play within a container of core forms allows us each to find that inner alignment that supports the gifts we bring to the world. I look forward to sharing the gift of yoga with you and the new life you are nurturing (whether that be in pregnancy, as a new parent, or your own inner transformation!)

She is certified in Vijñāna yoga (2018), Hatha and Ashtanga (2012), and Restorative yoga (2013) with additional training in Prenatal and Postnatal yoga. She is a registered E-RYT 200 teacher with the Yoga Alliance with over 1000 hours of training and a decade of teaching experience.
